Apunts en el canvi d’any 2018/2019

Benvolguts/des membres i simpatitzants de la Unió per a la Pau Mundial,

Qui no desitja la pau mundial com a solució als problemes de la humanitat? La Unió per a la Pau Mundial està formada per persones amb visió de futur, gent que veu més enllà per a un futur meravellós a la Terra, aquest gran planeta blau, en el qual a nosaltres i als nostres infants i néts/es els agradaria continuar vivint. “Imagina la Terra tan bella com sigui possible” va dir un gran savi vèdic. És més fàcil de dir que de fer. Qui pot imaginar un món ple de pau, sense guerres, sense persones refugiades i desplaçades, un medi ambient sense desastres climàtics, etc. ? Tanmateix, necessitem començar a realitzar la pau mundial, per a crear i administrar el nostre món tal com imaginem que pot ser. Està clar que de moment això sembla impossible i utòpic. Però aquest va ser el cas quan la Humanitat va decidir anar a la lluna i, tot i així, es va realitzar. Si no comencem ara a seriosament canviar el món per a nosaltres i la nostra descendència, aviat podria ser massa tard.

Però això no ha esta gaire desenvolupar encara. Hi ha força gent que pensen de manera similar i és activa, i forma cadenes humanes per a ajudar qui tingui necessitats, alimentar la gent pobre, protegir els animals, lluitar per al medi ambient, defensar les persones refugiades, pregar per a la pau, etc. Són els somiadors/es de la cançó “Imagine” de John Lenon, que volen unir-se a l’ideal de pau a la terra (“I hope some day you’ll join us”: “Espero que algun dia t’uniràs a nosaltres”). Esperen i somien, volen participar i posar-s’hi. Però com? Algú ha de començar, dirigir el camí, i això és el que fa la Unió per a la Pau Mundial (WPU).

OK, bones paraules, però com ho fem a la pràctica? Tenim un pla: presentem la carta de les Nacions Unides de 1945 junt amb la llei fonamental de la República Federal d’Alemanya de 1949, o d’una altra constitució liberal i democràtica a un institut universitari de renom internacional, especialitzat en llei internacional i l’encarreguem de dissenyar una nova carta de les Nacions Unides. La llei fonamental alemanya estipula tot el que és important per a un estat federal, liberal, democràtic i constitucional. No només hi ha 16 nacions federals, sinó també unes 200 nacions al món.

El preàmbul d’aquesta nova constitució mundial podria ser:

Conscients de llur responsabilitat envers el planeta Terra i la seva població, inspirades a garantir la pau al món, les 200 nacions signatàries, per virtut de llur poder constitucional, s’han donat aquesta constitució federal, democràtica i constitucional, i en lliure autodeterminació i sobre la base de la llibertat, unitat i fraternitat han decidit la fusió de totes les nacions en una Humanitat Unida. Aquesta constitució és, per tant, vàlida per a tota la població mundial de la Terra.

Substitueix la carta de les Nacions Unides de 1945.

Aquest projecte es traduirà a nombrosos idiomes i es distribuirà per Internet per a ser debatut. És la clau, el primer pas per a dissoldre l’errònia idea mental que un món en pau només pot se una utopia no realista, una quimera. Per tant, ara les persones amb visió de futur, amb un intel·lecte lúcid i despert, començaran a debatre seriosament aquesta qüestió, un debat que durà al desenvolupament de més idees, inspiracions i solucions creatives i intel·ligents. Qui d’entre nosaltres hagi participat en el Pla Mundial per a la Pau ja han pensat en aquest tema de cara al futur, i han proposat algunes idees inicials, com ara les espirals de desarmament, etc. Però això va passar fa trenta anys, quan Internet i Facebook no existien.

Podem veure que es tracta d’un projecte titànic. Estem parlant de la més gran utopia de la història de la humanitat, més revolucionària que arribar a la lluna! Però els temps són propicis i és hora de començar!

Ja hi ha hagut alguns moments brillants: el 2018 la comunitat internacional va fer un remarcable pas en la direcció correcta amb l’adopció del Pacte de l’ONU de la Migració. La migració global és un fenomen que només es pot resoldre globalment, i això la WPU ho ha estat dient des de fa molt de temps. Malauradament, aquest pacte s’està debilitant per una falta de compromís arrelada en el principal obstacle a la pau mundial: la doctrina de la inviolable sobirania dels estats nació.

Una constitució mundial federal implica, de fet, que els estats nació individuals renunciïn a parts de llurs drets de sobirania. Això és, com Albert Einstein ja havia afirmat, una condició bàsica de la pau mundial. Sense una renúncia parcial a la sobirania nacional per part de les nacions concernides, no pot haver-hi pau mundial. Els problemes globals requereixen solucions globals, i això no és possible sobre la base de l’obsoleta Carta de l’ONU de 1945 amb 193 estats sobirans i el veto del propi Consell de Seguretat. Però no hem de patir: fins i tot en un món federal els equips nacionals de futbol poden jugar els uns contra els altres i els campionats mundials poden tenir lloc amb els/les millors atletes mesurant llur força en els Jocs Olímpics.

Finament, un últim important punt, el més important: cal fer passos concrets per a augmentar la consciència de la humanitat. L’individu fa ús de només una petita part del seu potencial mental. La gent ha de ser més intel·ligent, més pacífica, harmoniosa, racional, conscient i coherent¹. Això és possible mitjançant programes de ioga. “En la presència del ioga, l’enemistat i els conflictes desapareixen”, asseguren les escriptures vèdiques. El ioga condueix l’individu vers la unió amb el seu ser, amb el seu origen diví. I allí hi ha suficient pura intel·ligència.

Notes at the turn of the year 2018/2019

January, 1st 2019 – English Version

Dear Members and Supporters of the World Peace Union,

Who wouldn’t wish for world peace as a solution to the problems mankind is facing? The World Peace Union are visionaries, people who are looking ahead for a wonderful future for Earth, this great blue planet, on which we, our children and children’s children would like to continue living. “Imagine the Earth as beautiful as possible!”, as a great Vedic sage once said. That’s easier said than done. Who can imagine anything like a peaceful world, without wars, without refugees and displacement, a healthy environment without climate disasters, etc. Nevertheless, we need to start to realize world peace, to create and manage our world, as we imagine it could be. It is clear to us that this currently seems to be impossible and utopian. However, this was also the case when mankind decided to fly to the moon and yet it was accomplished. If we now do not seriously start to change the world for ourselves and our descendants, it may be too late some day in the near future.

However, this impulse hasn’t developed that much yet. There are many people, who have similar thoughts and as well are active, form human chains, help those in need, feed the poor, protect animals, fight for the environment, stand by refugees, pray for peace, etc. Those are the dreamers in John Lennon’s Imagine, who want to join the vision of peace on earth (“I hope some day you‘ll join us”). They wait and dream, want to participate and get started. How though? Someone has to start, lead the way, and that is the WPU.

Okay, nice words, but how do we do it actually? Here is the plan: We present the charter of the United Nations from 1945 together with the basic law of the Federal Republic of Germany from 1949 – or from another liberal, democratic constitution to an internationally renowned university institute, specializing in international law and hire it to design a new charter of the United Nations. German basic law states everything which is important to a federal, liberal, constitutional democratic state. There are not only 16 federal nations, but also about 200 nations in the world.

The preamble of this new world constitution, based on the basic law of the Federal Republic of Germany, could be as follows:

Aware of their responsibility for planet Earth and its inhabitants, inspired to ensure peace in the world, the undersigned 200 nations, by virtue of their constitutional power, have given themselves this democratic, constitutional, federal constitution and have in free self-determination and on the basis of freedom, unity and fraternity, decided the merging of all nations into a United Humanity. This constitution therefore is valid for the whole population of Earth. It substitutes the charter of the United Nations of 1945.

This project will be translated into many languages and will be uploaded to the internet for discussion. This is the key, the first step is understanding the mental inhibition, that world peace can only be an unrealistic Utopia, a chimera. So now, the visionaries of the world, with clear and wakened intellects, will begin to seriously discuss this, leading to the development of more ideas, inspirations and intelligent creative solutions. Those of us who were involved with the World Peace Plan in the past, thought ahead about this for the future with some initial ideas such as disarmament spirals, etc. However this was thirty years ago, when there was no internet or Facebook.

One can see that this is a gigantic project. We are talking about the greatest utopia of the history of mankind, more revolutionary than the moon landing! However the time is ripe, and we should start now!

There are some bright spots: In 2018, the international community made a remarkable step towards the right direction with the adoption of the UN Migration Pact. The worldwide migration phenomenon can only be solved globally, and this is what the WPU has been saying since a long time. Unfortunately this Pact is being weakened with non-commitment and this is rooted in the main obstacle for world peace, which is the international doctrine of the inviolable sovereignty of nation states.

A global federal world constitution presupposes in fact, that individual nation states renounce parts of their sovereignty rights. That is, as Albert Einstein had already realized, a basic condition for world peace. Without a partial renunciation of national sovereignty by the nations involved, this will not work. Because Global Issues Require Global Solutions „(Yuval Noah Harari, 21 Lessons for the 21st Century, 2018, Chapter 7) require global solutions, and these will not be possible on the basis of the outdated UN Charter of 1945 with 193 sovereign states and the veto right in the Security Council.

Finally a last important point, the most important of all: Concrete steps must be taken to increase the consciousness of humanity. A person uses only a small fraction of their mental potential. People must become smarter, more peaceful, harmonious, rational, conscious and coherent1, and this happens with proven yogic programs. “In the presence of yoga, enmity and conflict disappear”, the ancient Vedic scriptures say. Yoga leads man to unite with his self, with his divine origin. And there’s enough pure intelligence there.

No worries though, even in a federal world, national football teams can play against each other and world championships can be held with the world’s best athletes measuring their strength at the Olympic Games.

Anmerkungen zum Jahreswechsel 2018/2019

1. Januar 2019 – Deutsche Fassung

Liebe Mitglieder und alle der Weltfriedensunion nahestehenden Damen und Herren,

Weltfrieden als Lösung der Menschheitsprobleme, wer wünscht sich das nicht? Die Weltfriedensunion, das sind Visionäre, Menschen, die nach vorn schauen in eine wunderbare Zukunft der Erde, dieses wunderschönen blauen Planeten, auf dem wir, unsere Kinder und Kindeskinder gerne weiterleben möchten. „Stellt Euch die Erde so schön wie möglich vor!“, so die Worte eines vedischen Weisen. Das ist leichter gesagt, als getan. Wer kann sich heute schon eine friedliche Welt vorstellen, ohne Kriege, ohne Flucht und Vertreibung, in einer gesunden Umwelt, ohne Klimakatastrophen, usw. Aber trotzdem, wir müssen anfangen, den Weltfrieden zu verwirklichen, unsere Welt so zu gestalten und zu verwalten, wie wir uns das vorstellen. Es ist uns bewusst, dass dies zurzeit unmöglich und utopisch erscheint. Aber das war es auch, als die Menschen beschlossen, zum Mond zu fliegen, und trotzdem sind sie hingeflogen. Wenn wir nicht ernsthaft damit beginnen, die Welt für uns und unsere Nachkommen zum Besseren zu ändern, ist es irgendwann zu spät.

Aber so weit ist es noch nicht. Es gibt viele Menschen, die ähnliche Gedanken haben, und die auch aktiv werden, Menschenketten bilden, Bedürftigen helfen, Arme speisen, Tiere schützen, für die Umwelt kämpfen, Flüchtlingen beistehen, für den Frieden beten, usw. Das sind die dreamer in John Lennons Imagine, die sich der Vision des Weltfriedens anschließen möchten („I hope some day you‘ll join us“). Sie warten und träumen, möchten mitmachen, loslegen. Nur, wie? Irgendwer muss damit starten, muss vorangehen, und das ist die WFU.

Okay, schöne Worte, aber wie machen wir das? Hier ist der Plan: Wir legen die Charta der Vereinten Nationen von 1945 zusammen mit dem Grundgesetz für die Bundesrepublik Deutschland von 1949 – oder auch einer anderen freiheitlich-demokratischen Verfassung – einem international renommierten völkerrechtlichen Universitätsinstitut vor und beauftragen es, eine neue Charta der Vereinten Nationen zu entwerfen. Im deutschen Grundgesetz steht alles, was für ein föderales, freiheitliches, rechtsstaatlich-demokratisch verfasstes Staatswesen wichtig ist. Da gibt es dann eben nicht nur 16 Bundesländer, sondern etwa 200 Nationalstaaten.

Die Präambel dieser neuen Weltverfassung könnte in Anlehnung an das Grundgesetz für die Bundesrepublik Deutschland wie folgt lauten:

Im Bewusstsein ihrer Verantwortung für den Planeten Erde und seiner Bewohner, von dem Willen beseelt, den Frieden auf der Welt zu sichern, haben sich die unterzeichneten 200 Nationalstaaten kraft ihrer verfassungsgebenden Gewalt diese demokratische, rechtsstaatliche, föderale Verfassung gegeben und in freier Selbstbestimmung auf der Basis von Freiheit, Einheit und Brüderlichkeit den Zusammenschluss aller Staaten zu einer Vereinigten Menschheit beschlossen. Damit gilt diese Verfassung für die gesamte Bevölkerung der Erde. Sie ersetzt die Charta der Vereinten Nationen aus dem Jahre 1945.

Dieses Projekt wird, übersetzt in viele Sprachen, zur Diskussion ins Internet gestellt. Das ist der Schlüssel, der erste Schritt über die gedankliche Hemmschwelle, dass Weltfrieden nur eine lebensfremde Utopie, eine Schimäre ist. Und nun beginnen die Visionäre auf der Welt, der geistig wache Teil der Menschen, bewusst mitzudenken, ernsthaft darüber zu diskutieren, und es entstehen mehr und mehr intelligente Ideen, Inspirationen, kreative Lösungsvorschläge. Teilweise haben wir sie im WELTFRIEDENSPLAN der WFU vorgedacht, mit „Initiativstaaten“, einer „Abrüstungsspirale“ usw. Aber das war vor 30 Jahren, da gab es weder Internet noch Facebook.

Man sieht, es ist ein gigantisches Projekt. Wir reden von der größten Utopie der Menschheitsgeschichte, revolutionärer als die Mondlandung! Aber die Zeit ist reif, wir fangen jetzt an! Und es gibt Lichtblicke: 2018 machte die internationale Gemeinschaft mit der Verabschiedung des UN-Migrationspaktes einen bemerkenswerten Schritt in die richtige Richtung. Das weltweite Migrationsphänomen kann, das sagt die WFU schon lange, nur global gelöst werden. Allerdings krankt dieser Pakt daran, dass er unverbindlich ist, und das hängt mit dem Haupthindernis für den Weltfrieden zusammen, das ist die völkerrechtliche Doktrin von der unantastbaren Souveränität der Nationalstaaten.

Eine globale föderale Weltverfassung setzt nämlich voraus, dass die einzelnen Nationalstaaten auf Teile ihrer Souveränitätsrechte verzichten. Das ist, wie schon Albert Einstein erkannt hat, eine Grundbedingung für den Weltfrieden. Ohne einen teilweisen Verzicht der Staaten auf ihre nationale Souveränität geht es nicht.

Denn globale Problem erfordern globale Lösungen“ (Yuval Noah Harari, 21 Lektionen für das 21. Jahrhundert, 2018, Kapitel 7), und die sind auf der Basis der überholten UNO-Charta von 1945 mit 193 souveränen Staaten und dem Veto-Recht im Sicherheitsrat nicht möglich.

Zum Schluss noch ein wichtiger Punkt, der Wichtigste überhaupt: Es müssen konkrete Schritte für eine Bewusstseinserweiterung der Menschheit unternommen werden. Der Mensch nutzt nur einen kleinen Bruchteil seines geistigen Potentials, eine Erkenntnis, die wir gleichfalls Albert Einstein verdanken. Die Menschen müssen klüger, friedfertiger, harmonischer, vernünftiger, bewusster, kohärenter werden (Aurelio Peccei, Gründer des Club of Rome, Die Qualität des Menschen, 1982; Erich Fromm, Haben oder Sein, 1976) – und das geschieht mit erprobten yogischen Programmen. „In der Gegenwart von Yoga verschwinden Feindschaft und Konflikte“, heißt es in den alten vedischen Schritten. Yoga führt den Menschen zur Vereinigung mit seinem Selbst, seinem göttlichen Ursprung. Und dort ist reine Intelligenz genug vorhanden.
